Restorative Dentistry

At All About Family Dentistry, patients can restore the appearance and strength of their teeth by visiting a dentist at our clinic in Woodstock, Georgia, and receiving restorative dental care. Our professionals have been trained in the art of restoring smiles, so you are in excellent hands in our office. Let’s go over some of the procedures patients can receive to improve the health of their teeth.

Dental Fillings

Fillings are one of the most frequently performed dentistry procedures in the U.S. They can be made of several different materials, each with their own advantages and disadvantages. At All About Family Dentistry, we use high-quality materials to fill in areas where decay has been removed, or injuries have damaged the enamel.

Crowns

A dental crown is a cap that covers the entire visible portion of teeth. The tooth will need to be shaped before a crown can be applied, ensuring that it fits into the mouth comfortably and functions as it should. Crowns are strong and can be applied for cosmetic reasons as well as to restore the structure of compromised teeth.

Bridges

Dental bridges come in many forms, but they all do the same thing – bridge the gap that forms when a tooth is extracted or lost. The most common bridge uses two teeth adjacent to the gap to hold a pontic, or replacement tooth, in place. They can replace up to 3 adjacent teeth at a time, restoring the beauty of your smile.

Dental Implants

Implants are a permanent way to replace teeth that are missing. Patients can get a single tooth, multiple teeth, or an entire arch of teeth replaced using strong and long-lasting dental implants. They’re surgically implanted into the jawbone, where they will heal before an abutment, and a crown or some other restorative dental appliance is attached.

Dentures

Dentures are used to replace an entire upper or lower arch of teeth in the mouth. In order for dentures to be applied, the arch must have all remaining teeth removed from it. Some dentures can be placed as soon as teeth are extracted while others must be placed once the gums have healed.
